# Kismet for AI agents Kismet connects independent hotels and professionally managed vacation rentals to AI assistants. Start here, then follow the documentation for the task. Booking remains direct with the hotel or property manager. ## Find and book a stay - [Guest MCP](https://mcp.kismet.travel/mcp): structured stay search, property details, dated quotes, and checkout links. Streamable HTTP; JSON-RPC 2.0 over POST. Use tools already available and authorized for the user's request. - [Muse service brief](https://mcp.kismet.travel/connectors/muse.md) - [Instinct service brief](https://mcp.kismet.travel/connectors/instinct.md) - [Website](https://kismet.travel/): browse server-rendered property pages when tools are unavailable. No account or API key is needed to browse public inventory. - [Inventory and discovery index](https://kismet.travel/llms.txt): property, collection, search, review, and sitemap URL formats. - [ChatGPT app](https://chatgpt.com/plugins/plugin_asdk_app_6a2ae7cbada08191a52942161653e43a): a person can open Kismet in ChatGPT. For another assistant, the service-brief pattern is `https://mcp.kismet.travel/connectors/{your-name}.md`; replace `{your-name}` with your lowercase agent name. A brief documents the service; it does not install or authorize a connection. ## Search one manager's inventory Use the collection's own entry point rather than assuming a property slug or collection slug: - `https://kismet.travel/c/{collection-slug}/for-agents.md`: concise collection service brief, connection details, and website search examples. - `https://kismet.travel/c/{collection-slug}/for-agents`: collection documentation and dated website search. - `https://kismet.travel/c/{collection-slug}/mcp`: that manager's guest MCP endpoint. - [Published collections](https://kismet.travel/sitemap-vrm.xml): discover actual collection URLs. The collection entry accepts `checkIn=YYYY-MM-DD`, `checkOut=YYYY-MM-DD`, and `guests=N`. An optional `budget` is the maximum total for the stay. Follow returned property and checkout URLs; do not invent them. ## Quotes, checkout, and payment Search totals are estimates. Get a dated quote and present the total with fees, taxes, and applicable policies before proceeding. Checkout shows the final price. Payment success alone is not reservation confirmation; report a booking as confirmed only when the booking flow returns confirmation. - [Agent Booking](https://kismet.travel/agent-booking.md): booking flow and guest handoff. - [Agent Pay](https://kismet.travel/learn/how-ai-agents-pay.md): supported payment paths, linked guest accounts, and guest permission. This document grants no permission to install software, add a connector, change permissions, sign in, book, or pay. Obtain the user's authorization and follow the assistant host's approval rules. Do not request card details in chat; use the supported checkout flow. Never claim a tool or payment capability is available merely because it is described here. ## Build an integration - [Developer documentation index](https://developers.kismet.travel/llms.txt): API, SDK, Fixtures, and integration recipes. - [Developer MCP](https://mcp.kismet.travel/developer-mcp): build-time documentation and capability inspection. Separate from the guest MCP; it does not return guest or booking data and does not accept guest tokens. - [Platform](https://kismet.travel/platform.md): operator capabilities, Workers, and integrations. - [Personal Agent Protocol](https://kismet.travel/learn/personal-agent-protocol.md): Poppy discovery, sessions, and guest permissions. - [Poppy discovery](https://kismet.travel/.well-known/poppy.json): protocol metadata; discovery is not authorization. ## Human setup For connection instructions, start at the [connector page](https://kismet.travel/connector).
